General Counseling Services

I currently provide in person and virtual counseling services for adult clients throughout Colorado as a member of Cornerstone Christian Counseling.

I most often provide therapy to women & mothers seeking support in the specialty areas listed below, but I am happy to connect to see if we are a good fit to work together if you are desiring general counseling support or another specific concern. Please do not hesitate to schedule a phone consultation so that we can discuss the opportunity to work together!

Counseling Specialties

Perinatal and Maternal Mental Health

Pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood create dramatic shifts and transitions in a woman's life. While often a joyful experience, complications and issues such as pregnancy and infant loss, birth trauma, rare and/or life-limiting diagnoses, and the general transition into motherhood can be overwhelming.

It is because of my lived experienced, personal connection, and the space created for me in my journey that I have been provided the privilege and honor of supporting fellow mothers as they navigate:

  • Pregnancy Loss, Infant Loss, and Stillbirth
  • Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs or Maternal Mental Health Conditions)
  • Life Limiting Diagnosis and Palliative Care
  • Pregnancy after Loss
  • High-Risk Pregnancies (including maternal and/or fetal diagnoses)
  • Birth and NICU Trauma
  • Motherhood and Parenting Young Children

Narrative Exposure Therapy for Perinatal Populations

Narrative Exposure Therapy, also called NET, is an evidence based, short-term psychotherapy intervention used to help clients process and heal from trauma by retelling their life stories.

NET has been found to help clients navigating PTSD, depression, and additional mental health conditions. It has been found to decrease trauma symptoms, increase client's quality of life and develop a positive outlook for the clients who utilize this modality.

As a clinician, I have specialized training in utilizing NET to support clients in the perinatal period and those who have experienced trauma related to perinatal period.

The beauty of NET is that it is a structured, time bound and highly effective therapeutic intervention for long-term recovery from trauma. This means that following introductory and rapport building sessions, we will work collaboratively to create a timeline for sessions (most commonly 10-12 sessions) and contain the NET process to these sessions while working within the framework and therapeutic approach of the NET Model.

Victoria brings experience as a recovered clinician, with specific experience in working with clients in all levels of care, including:

  • Residential, PHP and IOP Treatment
  • Outpatient and In-home Recovery Coaching and Meal Support
  • Public Speaking, Panel Discussions, and participation in filming and tour of  "All of Me" a documentary film on eating disorders.

Women's Counseling

Women's Counseling is therapeutic support for any concern that might impact a woman’s mental and emotional health, throughout any stage of life. Support includes but is not limited to:

  • Relationships
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Life Transitions
  • Grief and Loss

First Responders & Responder Spouses

Having grown up in a first responder family, I am deeply passionate about supporting first responders and their families. As the daughter and sister of first responders, I have a unique understanding of the impact that a responder’s career can have on both their own life and the lives of their loved ones. It is an incredible privilege for me to offer support to the individuals and families of those who make daily sacrifices to keep our communities safe and healthy.

I am currently completing my Certified First Responder Associate Training (CFRA credentials expected April 2025) and am actively enrolled in the Littleton Police Department's Citizens Academy.

Approach to Therapy

I work from an integrative and person-centered approach to counseling. This approach is rooted in relationship, presence, and empathy, all of which allow us to have an authentic connection. Your values, lived experiences, perspectives, hopes, and beliefs matter and should be integrated into your counseling process.

Counseling is never one-size-fits-all. You are served best when your counseling experience is tailored to your unique needs, goals, and desires. Therefore, I will adapt skills, techniques, and interventions as needed to aid you throughout your therapeutic journey. Through the counseling process, I seek to normalize the vast array of emotions you experience in life while providing you with a safe space to process your story. Above all else, I hope you feel connected, understood, safe, and seen.

Optional Faith Integration

I understand that individual faith can be an integral part of one's healing journey. For this reason, I offer Christian faith integration counseling to clients who would like to incorporate this service into their counseling process. I also respect your decision to not have faith integrated into therapy.
